โOf course the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the lobby on arrival. Beautiful scenery and wooded walking paths. The quality time to re-connect. Can't forget about the super yummy surprise breakfast every morning! Our 3rd time here in 2025 and love how very little changes - and only for the better!

โThe bed was firm, not hard, and extremely comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was amazing, probably the best I have ever experienced a hotel, and it was hot immediately. The staff was very friendly and funny. The room was clean . I am planning on staying there again. โ
โWhat a fun place to stay! From the moment we walked in greeted by Toad (and his owner), we felt very comfortable here. The little retro details all added up to a friendly 3 night stay. The co-owners and staff are just as friendly as Toad but they work a lot harder to make your stay enjoyable. Just remember, you are staying in an old school motel, not the Hyatt Regency. Be nice!โ
โThe property was in a great location. Seeing the lake every day was beautiful. Food in the restaurant was good with many choices. Being able to walk the dogs around the property and dining outside with them was nice. Evening music in the bar area was a bonus. The rooms werenโt fancy but were comfortable โ
โThis is a very nice hotel, in a wonderful location. Across the street from Lake Michigan, with a great breakfast restaurant - Anchor Down Family Restaurant- just a block away. The room I had was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!โ
โRoom was clean enough. The whole place needs maintenance. Breakfast was great. Egg bakes and variety were great. Lock on door didnโt work very well. โ
