"As mentioned in my previous email, we appreciated being able to check into our room early at 2:30 PM. Unfortunately, the positive first impression quickly changed when we found multiple blood-like stains on one of the bed sheets and a dirty sock left behind in the closet.
We immediately notified the front desk and were told the issue would be resolved. We waited over two hours in the lounge to give housekeeping time, but when we returned, the room was still exactly the same. The stained sheets had not been changed and the sock was still there. We had to call again to remind the staff about something that should have already been addressed.
The manager acknowledged the inconvenience and offered to remove one night from our bill. However, we were later told this was not possible because the booking was made through Expedia. Instead, we had to accept hotel credits that could only be used on property, where prices were significantly inflated.
For the rest of our stay, we chose to dine at the Marriott across the street because the food quality, portions, and value were much better. For example, the hotel pool restaurant served a $22 USD tuna poke bowl that was simply a pre-packaged item in a plastic container, while Marriott offered freshly prepared meals at a comparable price. The pool restroom was also clogged the only time I used it.
As a Hilton Honors member, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, service, and guest experience. Unfortunately, not this time."
