“We had an excellent stay at this B&B and would definitely recommend it and go back. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and a really good size. The shower was small but it had to be to fit it in! (Room 5) The shower was very hit and miss temperature wise but we told Linda(? - the owner) when we left and she was going to get it sorted. Make sure when you park that you drive in forward and reverse out. The parking is tight, but...

“Lovely clean room with very comfortable bed and excellent shower. Superb views across to the hills behind the village. Very nice toiletries provided and excellent tea/coffee/hot chocolate in room facilities with biscuits! I really enjoyed the comfortable residents lounge which was unexpected but a nice place to relax and read a book (motor racing or vehicle enthusiasts will enjoy the book selection). “Absolutely fabulous few days away. This is a real gem of a hotel. Quiet and secluded but a real joy to experience. The staff are so helpful and genuine (Rosie, Sharon and Oliver deserve medals) There was plenty of choice for breakfast, the cooked breakfast was tasty and well presented. The evening dinner menu and quality of food was 10/10. I think it could be even better with a slightly extended menu. We will be back x”

“Only stayed one night, to break up our journey. Easy booking via Expedia, easy to find with ample parking. Lovely friendly welcome at reception by Lil. We had a nice, spacious, spotlessly clean room with A Patio ! We couldn't resist the Sunday carvery which was very nice, as was the breakfast the next morning. So with a lovely location, nice friendly staff giving great service, what is not to like. Thanks to all of your hardworking staff & looking forward to visiting again soon. M&S”

“The Moorland Hotel is fabulous. We would definitely recommend it and when we visit the area again we will stay here without hesitation. The food was excellent and the staff were welcoming. Although we didn't take a dog we saw some in the hotel and they were well catered for with a wash station outside (for after a long walk), plenty of water bowls, treats, spare leads, harness and blankets etc. All in all, at the end of our stay we felt rested and relaxed. You can't ask for much more than that.”
