“Great stay! We actually stayed 2 weeks after traveling for over 4 months. My husband, dog and I enjoyed our stay. Clean and comfortable. Housekeeping stuff were all very nice. Options for food next door and the hotel bar has some snacks and beverages. Not a bad drive to Wetherby and York. We took Ubers. We’d stay again. ”

“Generally very good stay. Landlady made me feel at home and lent me a parking disc which gave me free parking until 10.00am the next morning. Very nice cooked breakfast with cereal and proper coffee. Only small issue was that the curtains let in more street lamp light than I'm used to. Blackout curtains would have been ideal.”

“Perfect for a single room, single night stopover. Great central location, lots of great bar, cafe and restaurant options - as well as being right across from the conventions venue. The room and bathroom were small but perfect for my needs. Immaculately clean, very quiet, with everything I needed. And the bed was blissfully comfortable! Friendly greeting by staff on arrival too. Would definitely stay here again. ”

“Beautiful building and great staff”

“This was a beautiful property on 13 acres with orchards and a lovely courtyard. The room was extremely spacious and meticulously decorated and cleaned. The bathroom was spacious and featured a fabulous shower (Room 3). Sue was a gracious host and prepared a delicious made to order breakfast in a beautiful dining area. Conveniently located to the town of Thirsk which has a James Harriet (All Creatures Great and Small) museum. Well-worth a visit with shopping and parking. 5-stars!”

“Valentino’s is an absolute gem! Fabulous staff who were friendly and super courteous. The rooms are thoughtfully furnished, very clean and with quality toiletries. We ate here too, it was no problem to set up a table outside for us, the food was fantastic! Breakfast too did not disappoint with amazing polite service and Italian food to die for! Will definitely find an excuse to go back to Ripon so that I can stay here again!! ”
