"Second stay here. Great location and kind staff. We found the washroom in our room too dimly lit so brighter Lights would be a great improvement. Jets in the hot tub weren’t fully functioning. The breakfast was amazing! All and all a great place."

Otter Hotel

"The Otter Hotel was just okay. Based on the photos, I expected a more upscale experience, but it felt more like a budget hotel. The elevator to our building was out of service for most of our stay, forcing us to carry luggage up and down three flights of stairs. Housekeeping was disappointing. The room didn't feel very clean, the shower head looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time, the sofa appeared worn, and trash was left in our room instead of being emptied. The beds were also very hard and not particularly comfortable. The location is good, but overall I wasn't impressed and would choose a different hotel if I return to Banff."

"Will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Banff. Beautiful hotel. Lovely welcome by staff on check in. Useful information provided. The tea/coffee of your choice welcome bag was a thoughtful and appreciated touch too. Room was very spacious. Mountain view amazing! Great location - within reach of downtown but slightly quieter area. The hotel provides free local bus passes which were invaluable. Not sure I would change a thing to be honest!"
