“Absolutely lovely stay at The Lister Arms. Staff are amazing and the reason it's so good. They are helpful and friendly.
The only very small downside is the cost. A little overpriced but otherwise beautiful. Couldn't really fault anything at all. The food was to die for.”

“Although the building could do with a little tlc in places, our room was large, clean and tidy. The breakfast was excellent and bar food really good too.
The bar area is fairly small and well used by locals but we did find a table both nights we were there. The biggest plus for us were the staff who are efficient and friendly and we wouldn’t hesitate to return if in the area.
It’s in a quiet area but there are plenty of walks and an ideal base for exploring other towns and sites.”

“I didn't realise this was on a holiday park so maybe my bad there. I was picturing country pub.
Lots of noise outside. Then an alarm went off at 3am for ages.
The restaurant food wasn't great for the money... But great breakfast and lovely pool.”

“Location..it has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. ( need a car)
Rooms are very comfortable, tea /kettle etc.
Stairs are a little steep.
staff are lovely ,had a very pleasant stay.
We arrived Saturday lunch time, they had a party of 40 in, but fitted us in and it was delicious! staff attentive and it arrived quickly so all good, so I am very sad ( and surprised ) to say breakfast was poor ! we didn't opt for the buffet and cooked ,rather just the cooked, it took ages to appear...

“Great location, friendly owner and house keeper, well maintained with a cosy homely feel. The kitchen was well equiped for self catering and the home was kept warm for our autumnal stay. Towels were provided as were gowns and slippers which were a thoughtful addition for the use of the hot tub. A much appreciated basket of goodies greeted us on arrival. Would happily return.”
