โThe property owner, Diane, was warm, welcoming and very friendly. She provided great suggestions for dinner and sightseeing. She ensured that our vegetarian dietary needs were accommodated. The room was very spacious. Overall we had a good experience.โ
โLovely staff. VERY welcoming and friendly. Helpful with lots of good advice. Wonderful location. Close to shops and dining options. Did not eat at the hotel as we had been referred to a "locals" restaurant. To be honest, the "cozy" double room was a bit small. Felt a bit claustrophobic. But it was a nice space. Bed was relatively comfortable. Parking was on the street and not too far from the hotel. You had to look for it. We found a spot about 25 yards down the road. There is also parking...
โA great site and a quality lodge chalet with a friendly and warm welcome from the owners. Very accessible for Braemar and surrounding natural scenery. Absolutely excellent!โ
โThe Braemar Youth hostel might be the most charming and lovely hostel Iโve stayed at. The location is peaceful and the facility itself is comfortable and cozy. This hostel has a great lounge, large kitchen with all the essential utensils, and the staff are so accommodating and pleasant. โ
โWe had a lovely time at the Glen Clova hotel, it's set in beautiful scenery and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and our room was very quiet. Only thing I would ask for is mineral water in the room because both taps in the bathroom were running warm water so we couldn't pour a glass from there.โ
โStunning wee "hut", very clean and cleverly stock with all your needs, superb communication lovely views and a wonderful variety of wild birds at feeder.
For something different we would recommend.โ
โWe stayed three nights at the Hotel Square in Tomintoul. Although this is an older facility which could use a few updates to rugs, curtains, etc., we were very happy there. The hotel is clean, beds are super comfortable and the rooms are large and supplied with everything we needed. Breakfast was very good! Most importantly, the staff was friendly and helpful, providing great service. We had a lovely stay!โ
โSome of our parties rooms were a little dated and the pillows were hard and lumpy but other than that could not fault a thing. It was so convenient for going into Aviemore and had great on site facilities for kids. โ
โNot our normal sort of place to stay but ideal for our circumstances. Lovely facilities and folk staying at the same time. Good self catering shared kitchen though only as we left did we tumble to the fact that Helen had provided some communal consumables in the kitchen - our loss.โ
โNothing but positive things to say about Sweet Donside Cabins. Cabins and facilities were spotlessly clean, TV beds very spacious and comfortable, with the attention to detail excellent. Hot tubs were clean and well maintained. Lots of extra touches including a welcome basket.โ
โWe have stayed at Craigendarroch several times before, always in one of the lodges. This time we chose a Junior Suite in the hotel.
Everything was even better than expected. Lovely accommodation, friendly staff and great facilities.
We will definitely return.โ
