"PROs: Friendly, helpful hotel staff including concierge and housekeeping; comfortable lobby suitable for dining, working, meeting, etc.; varied breakfast offerings, though a bit light on fresh fruit; Google Chrome-enabled TVs allowing casting from personal devices (app availability depends on guest's subscriptions); easily accessible to public transportation (i.e., above-ground MBTA stop directly across the street from hotel entrance).
CONs: Dark hallways; dark room; inadequate seating in suite living room
My Personal Experience: I was very disappointed to discover that I was not given the room I THOUGHT I had booked. This was my third stay at the Arcadian and third booking of the property through Expedia. I chose the same room all three times but this third time I was assigned a different room from the one I had booked. This was extremely frustrating, particularly since my friend and I had booked the room for a week. Although the room was a suite, it was much smaller and darker than the one we stayed in the previous two times. It was also a very long walk down two hallways from the elevator and included three steps between the hallways up which we needed to drag our luggage. The lack of adequate lighting in the room made it feel very dreary and unwelcoming, and was exacerbated by the lack of comfortable seating besides the pull-out sofa in the living room area. Adding one, if not two, pole lamps and at least one accent chair would go a long way in improving one's stay."
