“Super stay! We come back every few months!”

“Unfortunately, our high hopes were dashed. The pot of tea and cake on arrival in a side room was a bit weird. Our room, which was the most expensive of our 3-week trip was painfully small and uncomfortable The bed was too soft. This property may be loved by others due to its history and charm, but it wasn’t what we’d hoped it would be.”

“Lovely place with very comfortable bed. Slept well!”

“I couldn't have had a nicer time at the Huntsman. I was staying outside in one of the 'cottage' type rooms. It was spotless, beautiful, and warm. The bathroom was immaculate and the bed was so comfortable! The location was a great base to go off on my hikes during the day, and I liked that there was room outside the rooms for muddy boots! The staff were friendly, warm, and helpful at every turn. I was travelling solo and made to feel very welcome dining alone in the evening, and the morning...

“Virkelig hyggeligt sted med en fantastisk dejlig have. Værelset var rent og pænt”

“I have to say, this was a perfect stay. Single traveller. From arrival to departure, the staff and service were faultless The cabines are super. The attention to detail very good indeed. Coffee and tea making facilities with sealed bottles of milk and water. Complimentary flapjacks... Large TV, controllable heat and a cooling fan. A window near the bed for those warm nights. Full USB sockets integrated to wall plugs next to the bed as well as a sidelight. Curtains for blackout. A...

“AOK”

“Lovely hotel with great helpful staff. Food was excellent quality and view from the terrace int eh evening was amazing. We will be back”

“Had a lovely, spacious room with a king size bed and lifesaving portable air con Very nice bathroom with complimentary toiletries. Tea and coffee facilities excellent. The property is only a 2 minute walk from 3 pubs, 2 restaurants, a convenience store, tea room and the train station. But you hear no noise. There is parking outside the property.”

“Fantastic. Really need to keep that a secret!”

“The hotel was further from Lyndhurst than I expected and although that wasn't an issue, it was further than I anticipated. This for us was the only downside to the stay. The room was cosy and comfortable and somewhat quirky. We loved its uniqueness. The hotel restaurant was lovely and we enjoyed our dinner there on our overnight stay. We would definitely stay again as it was convenient for a stop over before embarking on a cruise the following day from Southampton.”

“We found all staff so friendly and helpful. Entering the hotel gave a feeling of relaxation comfort and homely. Variety of food choices giving tasty evening meals and breakfast although I thought it too much to charge an extra £10 each for a fried breakfast whereas other hotels it’s included in the room cost. Our room was very comfortable with a superb shower”

“Everything is fine”

“Staff made the experience - they were exceptional. Really helpful and friendly. Having the garden gate opening directly onto the New Forest was a huge bonus, especially as we were travelling with our dog.”
