“Sadly - welcome was not that good - basic not welcoming. Room was not ready as we discovered - both bathroom gel bottles were empty , two less than half toilet rolls barely lasted the night. When we reported this - no one was available at the desk at 7.30 am - so spoke to someone on phone. We went out for a walk , thinking it would be dealt with, but on return discovered it wasn’t - excuse was that they thought we had gone out for the day - so had to chase in order to shower. “Mixed emotions on the stay. On the one hand the room and staff were all lovely and helpful, but an unfortunate situation has really tarnished the stay for us. We had a drink in the bar late one evening, and charged the drinks to the room per the bartenders request. We paid for these upon checkout, where we were asked to pay £45 pounds. I paid, thinking little of it other than it being a bit expensive. This didn't really sit right with us so we asked for the receipt, and saw that the drinks...
