"The property was better than I expected. The room was clean and spacious. I like that they had bottled water for you in the room; a lot of hotels have stopped that. The elevators were quick no waiting. I like they had restaurants on property that didn’t cost an arm and a leg. The one issue I had was I was unable to use my 15.00 dollar dine credit on the first day. Still not sure why. All in all it was a very good stay and I would stay again."

"While our room smelled of heavy bleach, it was not clean. The surfaces were sticky and had not been wiped down. We were missing a bathroom trash can, and there was very limited options in the market."

"We stayed here for a concert and we were unfamiliar with the area. But it was so convenient and lovely! 2 parking areas with 24-hr. Monitored parking. A small grocery store is downstairs and super convenient. The hotel staff were very sweet-even though everyone was stressed from a huge concert being booked in their city. Our room was amazing, and it made us want to always stay here for our trips in Detroit! We will be back! "

"They're trying to have an avant-garde hotel. If you know anyone who is a minimalist this is the kind of hotel it is. It was clean enough. Looked well enough but there was old paint stains on the floor. The bathtub stopper would not stop the water when I wanted to take a bath for no kind of safety bars in the bathroom tub area. The elevator was broken so you had to walk twice as far to get around or take the stairs three stories down and there's a bus that takes you up. Trumbull pretty far north if you want to go that way you can walk to the downtown area if you felt like it. It's about a mile and a half. There's a little restaurant right next to the hotel. They have very good food. It's actually a brewery so you can do taste testing there if you want. But the food is decent. Little spicy for me but very good. The bed was comfortable and there was one comfortable pillow but I think it was overpriced. I paid $250 and I looked up the street at the joffrey hotel brand new place,up the street which is half of that price. And the entrance to the bathroom had a raised threshold. I tripped twice."

"The Inn is a beautifully restored row of Victorian houses (mansions, really!), with guest rooms across several buildings. The room I was in was on the cooler side. I noticed a space heater in the closet, but I was only there to sleep and enjoy a lower temp for that anyhow, so my Michigan spring stay worked out well. A lot of amenities you might expect to find in a modern hotel (coffee maker, clock, phone) are non-existent in your room, but do exist in the common room of each building. My personally experienced drawbacks were that some shades would not move up or down, very little toilet paper and tissue paper in the room, and some housekeeping neglect in the corners. Also, I booked a deluxe queen but feel I was put into a standard queen room. Overall, a 3-4 star experience, but I am leaning towards 4."

"The room was excellent... I did not expect it to have all the things that were included. Pots and pans. Plates coffee maker. Everything in the kitchen was fully stocked. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was huge. Everything was clean. The living room area with the extra TV was a bonus. The staff was wonderful. We plan on coming back soon just so that I can utilize more things that were in the room. "
