"Great stay! Simple room but very clean and convenient to where we needed to go for our event. Nice coffee bar in the morning from 7-noon. Would definitely stay again. "

"Hamtramck Hostel despite the lower stars was a pretty good experience. It was a little further from downtown than I wanted it to be so you had to drive a bit to see the city. The surrounding area was much like the rest of Detroit; eclectic in some places, and rundown in others. I feel the vibe was good at the Hostel itself. There were some very kind hearted people. I liked some of the conversations we had. I enjoyed the idea of the shared space. I liked having access to the kitchen and laundry...

"Beautiful buildings, well maintained and renovated. Good amenities and breakfast. Good location near the QLine and the institute of art. Friendly welcome."
"The entire house was slanted, making it difficult to walk up the stairs, which were already fairly steep. One friend left with unspecified bug bites on her leg, several of us had reddish and brown stains on our mattresses, and one persons was flipped over to hide said stains. Floor came up a bit in the kitchen on our first night there and a friend got a scratch on her foot from it. Trash was also not taken out when we arrived. Decorations were nice, and towels, sheets and dishes were included, but there were also dishes left over in the dishwasher upon arrival. The basement light always seemed to be on as well from the view of the kitchen vent, though the area is off limits to visitors."
"We travel monthly and this was one of the coolest locations and such a historic building to stay in. Absolutely beautiful. The room didn’t have a TV or any entertainment options, but the location was wonderful. We were able to walk to great restaurants, bars and shops, as well as to the Detroit Pistons game. Would definitely stay here again!"
"Our stay was wonderful! The property and home was peaceful, clean, and thoughtfully stocked with essentials like towels, shampoo, conditioner, and a blow dryer. We especially enjoyed the cool, refreshing mornings and the comforting sound of the creaking floors gave it a cozy touch. The home is spacious enough to accommodate our larger family of eight, though there were only four of us on this trip. While the house could benefit from some updates, we truly appreciated its charm and comfort throughout our stay. Highly recommend! Thank you for a lovely stay! "
