"The entire house was slanted, making it difficult to walk up the stairs, which were already fairly steep. One friend left with unspecified bug bites on her leg, several of us had reddish and brown stains on our mattresses, and one persons was flipped over to hide said stains. Floor came up a bit in the kitchen on our first night there and a friend got a scratch on her foot from it. Trash was also not taken out when we arrived. Decorations were nice, and towels, sheets and dishes were included,...

"What a great stay we had at The Cochrane House! Our hosts were accommodating and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We stayed at the Cochrane House after attending a couple of sporting events in Detroit. It was so nice to come back to a place that was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast arrived at our door the following morning. Coffee just as we like it and homemade biscuits.
The sisters that own this home are terrific hosts. And not only do they care about their guests, they are also committed...

"Great value for this place. Perfect location within walking distance to good food spots, public transportation, and parking. Very spacious and clean room. Will definitely stay here again when I'm in town."
"Beautiful hotel, amazing staff. Breakfast was a little pricey for what was offered, but it was delicious. The tram is nearby and comes every 15 minutes or so. Only complaint, and it has nothing to do with the hotel, but there is a sewer grate on the corner ans the smell can be overwhelming outside."
"The check in staff were very friendly and the room was spacious and clean. Also 6 stars to the shuttle driver, the friendly, fabulous Beverly!! She went above and beyond for us, and we could not thank her enough!! Motor City, you truly have a treasure in her!"
