“Our stay at Hotel Ungheria was great! Good room with airco, facilities, great breakfast and excellent helpfull service throughout. A spotless and very well run family hotel. Varese itself is lovely, as well as centrally located, especially if you like to travel by public transport. Milan, Como, Lugano and more are nearby, including Lake Varese (cycle lane around it), Villa Panza and Sacro Monte. Fully recommended.”

“Bellissima camera, vista lago stupenda”

“The air-con didn’t work properly and there was noice from the road, at least in the attic room where we stayed. The hotel is clean, room was spacious and had a small fridge.”

“The staff was amazing. The breakfast was great. The location perfect”

“Excellent hot breakfast, old building but modernized, cost very reasonable, very helpful management was able to have some English speaking channels added to my tv, wow. There’s a restaurant on site as well. Being right next to the train station is a big plus, but trains are infrequent and there’s no elevator or escalator. And no direct service to the airport or to Milan. There’s not much to see in the town itself but it’s very close to Arona by train (four minutes). From Arona you can get...

“VERY KIND STAFF, NICE LAKE VIEW. PEACEFUL AREA. I HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN. IT IS VERY CLOSE TO STATION AND DOWNTOWN.”
