"Room was clean. I agree with others that rooms are dated but u don’t care about that as much as clean. Rooms were impeccable clean, close to much of what you want to do in New York. Close to subways. Staff was ok but didn’t really have to interact with them too much other than check in and check out. "

Unfortunately, the manager’s response was unacceptable, unprofessional, and dismissive. He stated that the room was not ready, refused to provide even an estimated availability time, and claimed there was no way to check with the cleaning staff—an explanation that is unreasonable and concerning for a hotel of this standard. We were finally able to check in at 8:00 PM, which is four hours past the regular check‑in time. The complete lack of communication, transparency, and basic customer service caused significant inconvenience and reflects poorly on the hotel’s operational standards. The only positive aspect of this experience was Alex, who was the only staff member who provided genuine assistance and helped resolve the situation after hours of unnecessary delays. "

"We had a lovely stay at Arlo Midtown, very close to Times Square and subway near port terminal and the hotel staff are lovely and very accommodating. Rooms are clean and cleaned every day. We will definitely go back! They even gave my daughter some macarroons as it was her 18th birthday when we stayed last week."

"Not sure how this hotel is rated as a four star hotel, I think because of the location. Room was dirty and curtains had holes in them. Main and Bathroom Doors were hard to close and needed maintenance, making loud noises when trying to force them to close. No parking available through the hotel. "
