โFantastic stay! The views are amazing, and the place is a few min. of walking distance away from the center of the town. The hospitality was superb, the staff is very accommodating and met all our needs, including helping us with luggage to and from the train station (also a few minutes away). Very clean and quiet, all you hear at night is the stream of the river. 5 stars โ
โI came to Hacienda Roman knowing that in this part of Peru, you can't expect all the amenities like WiFi, cable TV, etc. If you go in with reasonable expectations, you'll be happy with this hotel.
The pros: Staff are quite nice. Food is tasty and available fresh on site. Personal attention, especially the tour of the coffee/jungle out back, is phenomenal. The entire stay was worth it just for this!!
The cons: Cooking is unbelievably slow; it took us no less than 1.5 hours to finish a meal...
โRoom is clean and warm, hot water has good volume, bathroom is spacious, close to train station, breakfast is good and included. Would recommend.โ
โGreat place to stay. Was too bad we were only there one night. Two or more would have been better.
Only one thing I would want others to know, the hot springs they have are not โhotโ. Iโm used to hot tubs so hearing hot springs was a bonus, but wasnโt hot.
Other than that, would certainly recommend. โ
