โThe villa itself was great but the room wasnt as clean as I expect it to be. The amenities were good, the parking was east however the pool behind registration was growing what appeared to be black mold in the 2.5 ft end and it was gross. We found this to be unacceptable especially since we watched as a staff member checked the ph and totally ignored the overwhelming growth on the pool steps, sidewalls and under the edges. โ
โLocated outside main Williamsburg, youโll be driving to anything in town, but located decently close to downtown. Quiet, clean, friendly and communicable staff. Would stay again. โ
โI will admit when I first saw the property I was a little skeptical however it is a older property it's been around in Williamsburg forever. In this day and age if you're paying $90 for a room you really cannot expect much but at least a clean room and that is what this Howard Johnson provided. I did not get to eat their breakfast but it's smelled good. It is in the area that has shopping, everything that you need if you're on vacation, it is a good vacation spot I did not notice if it had a...
โDidnโt have any major issues. Everything went very smoothly. It was simple no extra crap that some of the hotels try to enforce. I will definitely visit again when Iโm in the area.โ
โWe had such a great stay at this hotel! The highlight was definitely the poolโit was perfect for kids and kept them entertained for hours. The whole property felt very family-friendly, which made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. From the welcoming staff to the kid-friendly amenities, everything was set up with families in mind. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with children!

โThe units were close to the recreations areas available at the site. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable to stay in. I rested very well.โ
โMy husband and I stayed for the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was like a home away from home, since it had a kitchen, dining rm, living rm, bedroom, and a huge bathroom. We had a large balcony that was shaded and private. We enjoyed hanging out at the pool both days. Check in was easy and the staff was polite and helpful. Very Family friendly and a safe place to stay.โ
โWe stayed this past week with our two dogs, and it was a wonderful family vacation. We stayed in the Blacksmith Cottage, which was fully-furnished with everything we needed. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked with pots and pans, and the oven and fridge were great to have. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. The grounds were quiet and seemed very safe - we did hear the trains a few times, but with a white-noise speaker and some soft earplugs, it didn't bother us or the dogs at all. If...
โThis was an excellent location. The parking lot was large enough to accommodate all of the vehicles. The front desk receptionist was great- friendly and efficient at both check in and check out. We walked to a nearby restaurant and enjoyed a wonderful meal. We felt safe walking back to the hotel. We highly recommend this hotel.โ
โMy stay here was great! I was alone visiting my boyfriend, and it was easy for me to go pick him up and come back whenever I needed. The room was pretty clean, but it wasn't "perfection." There was some dust buildup and crumbs under the bed and behind the table. I only noticed because I dropped some things and saw it all when I went to retrieve my items. I opted out of housekeeping because I wanted privacy for the weekend with my boyfriend. Also loved the easy and very early check-in! I was...
โThe stafff was friendly, helpful and communicated well. The rooms were clean and comfortably. We stayed on the 2nd floor and experience the patter of little feet running while trying to sleep. I guest kids will be kids. โ
โWe stayed here with our three children for a few days while visiting historic sites in the area. Our stay was very pleasant. The hotel is clean and well-maintained. Staff are always present to attend to any needs that arise. Pool area was nice. Would stay here again.โ
โCompletely renovated, so basicallly like a brand new hotel. Breakfast options were very basic like bagels, cereal, yogurt, and muffins. No meat or pancakes/waffles. They also had apples and oranges. The beds were average comfort for a hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Tony at the front desk was great.โ
