โThis was a wonderful experience, very friendly staff who were always ready to help, offering glasses of chilled water in the spacious and well-furnished public rooms and alcohol in the evenings. We stayed in the large Shakespeare room, often used as a Bridal Suite. The spa is great, with a good sized pool, a jacuzzi and unusual sauna.

โThe Marlborough is a pub with tasty food and about five rooms for overnight stays. The staff is outstanding and does everything possible to be helpful. It is on a central street of a very small town, so it can be a bit noisy during the day and early evening, but is quiet at night. โBooked for an overnight stay in Ipswich for early morning appointment. The hotel was central close to local bus terminus and close to a wide range of restaurants and bars. โWe stayed for just one night and had no complaints whatsoever. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly, the food was delicious, and we left feeling well-rested. Bed was comfortable. I would recommend it. Although we had a shared bathroom, it was spotless, well-maintained, and perfectly functionalโso it didnโt affect our stay at all. โWe were so impressed with the standard of service we received - thanks to all the staff! We requested an early check in so that we could get changed in time for going to a wedding nearby, and nothing was a problem. The welcome we received each time we returned to the hotel was warm and genuine. The breakfast was delicious too. Again, it was no problem at all when we requested some vegan items. Nothing and no one could have been better!โ

โLooks like it has recently been redecorated, simple and pleasant style. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast items available to help yourself if leaving before official breakfast time. Iโll be staying again โ
