“What a great find! Convenient to Traverse Bay & Elk Rapids. Love the 60s vibe! Cozy room, but updated to 2025 amenities. Wonderful fire pit area to unwind at night. Walking distance to beach. We will be back!”

“The property is across from the Traverse City bay and has a beautiful view. It has easy access to us31 which can be taken along the water to get you to downtown. The front desk and Steven, the breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful!”

“This was such a great experience. We loved the character and comfort of the house plus it was a quick walk to everything. Steffan the innkeeper was the best part. He was so welcoming and accommodating, full of information, and a great chef (making us a beautiful breakfast spread). He obviously cares about this place and it shows!! He made it 10/10!”

“Shanty Creek was a great place to stay. The room was spacious, clean, and private. The restaurant on site had fun specials after 5 pm and there was a shuttle that took you to the bar in town. Pool area seemed well kept, and so did the grounds in general. I'd totally stay here again. ”
