“It’s best to have a lakeside room, as sitting in the little porch can be quite peaceful. We met a new friend from England as a result. Also, breakfast is included, which was not made clear.”

“Nice spacious room and very comfortable. Pretty quiet since Summer is off season. Only downside was it was very hot when we visited - common areas were not adequately air conditioned. Also, main restaurant/brewery was closed. We did enjoy are stay and is a nice central location in the Bershires.”

“My husband and in laws each rented a cabin for a weekend. The property is beautiful, amenities are impressive, and the food is excellent! We enjoyed spending time by the pool reading (excellent book selection in the lobby,) relaxing in the dry saunas, kayaking on the lake, Sunday yoga and the peace of the guided evening float. Prospect Berkshires is incredibly curated from the moment you get out of your car. This was my second stay and will not be my last!”

“The location of this hotel is excellent. However, there was blood on the bathroom floor, stains on the sheets, and the fridge reeked of beer. When we asked the maintenance crew to give us five minutes to get out of the room, the cart was outside our door so we assumed that they would return and change the towels. They did not. The gentleman who checked me in was lovely; however, there was no one in the office when we checked out.”

“This is very much like a quaint bed and breakfast rather than a hotel. My room was in a very old house modified to accommodate paid guests. Now, if that appeals to you, this is a great option. Unfortunately, it did not appeal to me, and the fault was mine--not the people who own and run this establishment. I should have done a much better job investigating before booking this property. I have nothing but good things to say about the hostess and other employees... I messed up, not them.”

“The hotel is located in the beautiful hills of the Berkshires right on the border on new York and Massachusetts, which provides the most amazing views of your room. The room itself is very spacious and luxurious; the bed was also extremely comfortable, which is rare from my experience. I definitely recommend eating a meal at the hotel restaurant. I had the lemon shrimp (highly recommended) and the 16oz steak (also highly recommended). I definitely plan on coming back for another stay.”

“AC was much too cold and couldn’t seem to be adjusted - I slept in my clothes since there weren’t enough blankets; quiet place and a bit old fashioned decor but bathroom spotless; window coverings actually shut out light (positive); convenient to Lenox/Tanglewood and French patisserie next door”
