“Beautiful Spanish style hotel! We loved the unique touch of our towels in the room when we entered. It was a lovely stay and quiet. The only thing we was the wifi was very spotty for us, we were further back in the property so I would assume if you had a room closer to the entrance it would be better, but as you walked to the back it got worse. Other than that, loved it! ”

“This is our 3rd time staying at Cala Luna and we absolutely love it! It gets better each time we return! The rooms are so incredibly lovely, the howler monkeys surrounding the property are a delight but above all the staff is the best! Especially in the restaurant and bars - they are so incredibly welcoming and nice! Andres the bartender is a true mixologist (you have to try his mezcal cocktails)! “We loved the privacy and seclusion of the property. The front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant menu was fine for about 2 nights, but if one stayed longer, it was limited. Some of the lounge chairs were looking a bit worn. We would have liked the pool to be accessible for evening swimming. The pool area was completely dark by 7 pm. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Sugar Beach Hotel.”

“The property setting is absolutely gorgeous with lush tropical landscaping and an incredible view of Arenal Volcano. Our room was outstanding. Large and clean and comfortable with a huge two person jacuzzi and a private patio with table chairs and hammock. The staff was friendly, polite and accommodating. The breakfast included was a lavish and delicious buffet in a beautiful restaurant with a perfect view of the volcano. Loved it. ”
