“We like the historic hotel vibe and its downtown location. An anchor like the Decker is vital for Main Street revitalization. We wished that the bar had been open on a Thursday evening, but the manager said the owner is working on leasing that operation. A lamp on both sides of the comfy bed would be most welcome.”

“It was a very nice experience. Would definitely go back.”

“We stayed at this property for a girls trip. It was exactly what we were going for. Quiet, peaceful & adorable. Went to Dubuque for a day and Galena the next. Our mornings were on the porch enjoying our coffee listening to the cows welcome the morning followed by the birds. The deer had a parade in the mornings as well along the bubbling creek. And watching the neighbors horses in the pasture was magnificent. Evenings were dark-dark, which allowed us to admire the night sky filled with stars....

“Location comfort it feels like your at home”

“Great stay for our Halloween weekend for the parade. Wish they had a vent in the bathroom so after you take a shower it could take out the humidity. Food for breakfast and lunch was really good. Bed were comfortable. Enjoyed our stay.”

“Charming getaway from a hallmark movie”

“Thje staff from the woman who checked us in to the hostess at the breakfast were as welcoming and comforting as many of the B n B's we stay at.”
