“Everybody there was so kind the only two bad thing was dust on curtain rail and previous guys body hair in the bath room. But those are nothing my wife and I love this place so much and I am pretty sure we will stay again ”

“We had a wonderful stay! The innkeepers were so friendly and helpful. It was fun to learn the history of the house, especially since the were so into the history. Donnie is an excellent chef and made a wonderful breakfast for us. We were only there for one night since we were visiting our son and he only had one day off. We would definitely recommend as a place to stay for one night, or much longer. Charles Town was a cool place to visit and there are several towns around with fun downtown...

“Expedia reserved a non existent room style. Hampton Inn upgraded us to make it work. We had to call for bedding for pull out couch. Breakfast was disappointing. Items were cold or gone. Not being refilled. Room was clean. Alex at front desk was extremely helpful.”

“Door keys never work, have to go to the office. Every time you leave your room and go back in. Because the keys homework, they say, that's because you put them by your phone, which is not true. Last time I stayed here, I had to go to the front every day and get them to let me in, because the key thing wouldn't work on the door there was a box in the room. Shower was terrible when we wouldn't drain. Soaps coming around the edge of it. It's just horrible. I will never stay there again.”

“It was a very unique property that was rustic on the outside and a comfortable cottage on the inside. The owners were concerned for your enjoyment during the stay but not overbearing. Definitely will return here.”

“We enjoyed the schoolhouse very much as the kitchen is well stocked and we were able to cook easy dinners and lunches. The location was great as we visited nearby Harper’s Ferry and Shepardstown’s Bavarian Inn (dinner). The farmland in the area was breathtaking as we enjoyed driving around at night. The schoolhouse was a special experience considering both of us are teachers. Great job on the decor!”
