“Booked in and couldn’t even book in for the spa as it was fully booked because of a wedding. No email sent suggesting I needed to book. I only wanted to use the sauna. Lots of other people complained about the same thing. ”

“The Olde House was quite a surprise and seemed very popular with local people and seemed busy whilst we stayed there for three nights. The Carpark was enormous and during the day was being used by people learning to drive motorcars. Inside the building had many levels to choose from, where to sit. Our bed-room was a good size although the bathroom did not have any grab handles around the bath/shower tub. The food was ordered at the bar and was reasonably good, although I had an expensive main...

“Excellent venue, very clean. Cooked breakfast was enough, also cereals on offer. Staff were warm and welcoming. Ample parking. If using resteraunt advisable to book in advance.”

“I have stayed at the Peacock a few times now as the location is stunning and the rooms never fail to disappoint. They are clean and the bathrooms always have the wow factor. The food in the restaurant is also great, the only downside was the service, we didn’t get our wine for over half an hour and had to ask three times for it from different staff. However I will be back again! ”

“The room was clean, Staff excellent, Bar fully stocked, Wifi good. Room was very small 10foot wide 20foot long, bed very soft, no good for people with back problems. Advertised as B&B cleaner had to get manager in to do breakfast which was basically a bacon sandwich. No breakfast the following day even though it was the chef who let us out of building!”

“The staff was very welcoming. But the rooms are old and not everything was clean (hair in the shower, coffee stains on the wall, etc.). First room I got,102, is a special needs room, I guess that was the only one available. After the first night I started getting headaches because of a very strong musty smell. Luckily I could switch rooms and everything was fine.”

“Hilary and Graham were fantastic hosts, super knowledgeable, we felt right at home. Breakfast was great too and their garden was perfect for enjoying the sun. Would recommend!”
