“This Hotel is great. High end, despite its age. Location is central, making lots of activities walkable. But in/out Valet was available if driving. It is an interesting property. Really enjoyed it and Newport!”

“For our 25th anniversary we chose Newport, RI for a getaway. As first time visitors, we researched options and chose the Vanderbilt because it seemed central in location and the fact there were onsite spa services and good bar. This first choice was fortunate because we then met Morgan, the lead concierge. I booked the hotel and then immediately emailed re:spa services. Morgan called within 5 minutes of my email to book our appts and then proactively offered other services, ideas, and resources....

Our room (two queen beds) was clean, spacious and comfortable. The “continental” breakfast buffet was nicer than a typical continental breakfast, with several hot options and lots of fresh fruit. I would absolutely stay here again!”

“I checked in to this hotel on July 4th. I had clearly reserved a room with one king bed through Expedia, but was given a room with two queen beds instead. This was the hotel's mistake, not mine.
