“The room was fine for the money, the location was nice, parking was easy and ample, the shower worked well and the room was clean. One bed had no over sheet, just a fitted one, a blanket and coverlet. The breakfast was not even really a "continental", and the coffee was awful: Keurig machines in the room do not make up for bad morning coffee. The staff seemed uninterested in actually doing their jobs, but maybe they were having bad days and hate their boss/owner who seems not to want to...

“I did not realize when booking that the room did not have a bathroom and the bathroom facilities were shared. When I was 22 years old I lived in a Boarding House for 10 months. I didn’t like that then and at 70 I like it even less. The location was in very quiet part of town, the bed was comfortable although the Queen seemed a little narrow.”

“Room was small and dumpy, sink was so small you could barely brush your teeth. Wall heater was broken, took them 90 minutes to address it and I was left having to use needle nose pliers to adjust it. Outdoor light also broken so couldn’t see the stairs getting in and out. Room was worth about a quarter of what I paid.”

“Very helpful and even helped bring our luggage up to the second floor room. Comfortable, convenient, breakfast has variety and easy to fix....beds and linens were great and amenities were Beckman Bro. Brand...lovely.”

“At first, I was skeptical about a reservation at a place where no one was on site but my doubts were unfounded. I had the best experience with the owners that I’ve ever had in a hotel/motel. They were so responsive and helpful that I was so grateful. They even mailed my husband‘s favorite pants back to him.”

“The space was perfect for our needs. The mini fridge in the room was very handy, and the shared kitchenette space was a nice touch. We really enjoyed the mix of vintage and new! The room was right out of central casting, but updated with a really nice shower and sink and TV availability. It was super close to the downtown of Saranac Lake, and we could walk to a nice hike.”

“Lovely hostess at this bed & breakfast where we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. It checked everything on my wish list: relaxing atmosphere, clean room decorated in theme, lake access and a place to sit and enjoy the water and nature. I hope to return !”

“Very cute place for a single or couple. Very comfortable bed. Good off street parking. Super clean. Owner was readily available for questions. Wi-Fi particularly good.... all around highest rating.”

“I would just note that the bedrooms are on the top floor and there are stairs going to the ground floor where the living area, balcony, kitchen and dining area are. The rooms were lovely cabins with lots of room. It included all types of goodies to make your stay welcoming. In the bathroom there were toiletries, a hair dryer, and soft fluffy towels. We greatly appreciated the complementary coffee and tea as we'd forgotten to pack those. We also liked the sampling of books in our cabin to occupy...

“The house is a good place to stay if you need ample room and want a quiet retreat in Saranac Lake. Its not on the water but within a short drive of downtown and the lakes. If you have mobility issues this isn’t the place for you as the stairs to the second floor are very steep and there are floor level changes. The house manager should, I think, mark the floor level changes with bright tape because it takes a while to remember where they are. The house is pleasant and cosy and we enjoyed staying...

“A cozy cabin in the woods, only a brief walk away from the lake, and a comfortable fit for our family of 5. Very well stocked kitchen - we were able to cook all our meals easily. We especially enjoyed the screened-in porch and the swimming area and kayaks that were available for guest use. Ice cream/trading post for food/supplies and a boat rental all just up the road if you want to take advantage of the lake. The property managers were extremely welcoming (a fresh pie in the fridge!) and very...
