High Peaks Resort

"Had a room on the first floor with a door directly outside so that was great. Disappointed they didn’t have more paddleboards so there was always a waitlist and you could only take it out for 30 minutes. Both pools were very nice."

Holiday Inn Resort Lake George - Adirondack Area by IHG

"We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. It was spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable. The housekeeper Jose was so nice and friendly, always greeting us in the hallway. The balcony was nice and had a nice view of the lake. The children’s activities were nice and my kids enjoyed the arts and crafts daily. There is complimentary ice cream daily, but we were only able to have it one day as it’s a short window in the middle of the day and we weren’t around. The fire pit area is nice and you are able to make s’mores, if you ask the front desk they will give you what you need to make them. There are usually complimentary cookies at the front desk. Some of the front desk staff could be a little friendlier and personable, but you also never know who they have had to deal with. There is a nice little playground, chess, small mini golf area, and basketball court. The outdoor pool was smaller than it appeared in the pictures and filled up fast. We enjoyed the indoor pool area, as we had it all to ourselves when we went. it would’ve been nice to have towels in the actual pool areas. We ended up just using our own towels. It is a short drive to the main area of town, with plenty of shops, snack places and arcades. It wasn’t close enough for us to walk with younger kids, Overall we had a nice stay and will be back."

Grandview Lake Placid

"The place is in deep renovations. Had to ask for a different room as the one we initially got smelled too bad like paint. You go through endless hallways with rooms in construction. As one can imagine dirt and dust. I know it’s temporary but that was a bit unexpected and took away from the experience. Which otherwise should be quite nice."

"Very nice rustic luxury hotel. Clean quiet rooms. Everything worked. Breakfast was good but nothing special. Maybe an omelette bar . Enjoyed our stay."

Riveredge Resort

"The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It's a beautiful hotel right on the water. We had a gorgeous room on the fourth floor with 2 queen beds and jacuzzi. We got lucky and had a corner room that had 2 balconies and a full view of the river and some of the islands and castles. They also have 2 restaurants and a bar, with docking for anyone coming in by boat. I would absolutely book this hotel again!!!"

The Georgian Lakeside Resort

"Although only stayed for a night it was nice. Staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Enjoyed the pool before check with great scenery. Breakfast was excellent. I had an omelette and it was delicious. The proximity to Lake George Village is walking distance so you can park and not move your car."

"The Hotel is excellent plenty of parking great pool area and pool and the room was perfect must have been recently renovated and the location is perfect for walking to everywhere I highly recommend the Fort William Henry."

Laurel Lake Placid

"The lobby is extremely nice and the location is perfect! Just park your car and walk Main Street all you want! The only thing we didn’t like was the TV. It was small for the room and we couldn’t log into Netflix. We were tired after hiking all day and just wanted to watch TV after dinner."

Adirondack Retreat Inn & Suites

"I would not hesitate to stay here again. Our unit in the motel section was convenient to the picnic area/pool/playground. During times of the day it was noisy as the pool is enclosed and the noise of the children playing is amplified. The beds were a softer than we have at home, but still comfortable. The bathroom vanity and toilet are low to the ground, good for kids or shorter people, but I'm taller (and older) so it was a bit awkward. Our only other complaint is that the room has a pod coffee maker, but there were only 1 sugar, 1 pink sweetener, and 1 little creamer in the packet so it was awful. Next time we'll bring our own creamer."
