"This hotel is extremely dated and unfortunately the walls are so thin you can hear absolutely everything — sneezes, bathroom trips, and full conversations from neighboring rooms. It made the stay feel anything but private (and also made us very aware they could probably hear us too).
When we arrived there was a car parked next to us with bullet holes and blown-out windows, which didn’t exactly create the most welcoming or safe first impression.
We asked about a refund but since we booked through Expedia we were told that would likely be difficult. To the hotel’s credit, they did upgrade us to another room, which we appreciated. However, the upgraded room still had issues — the bathtub didn’t drain and the water had a pretty unpleasant smell, which made showering less than ideal.
The one real upside was having a full kitchen, which was convenient and probably the best feature of the stay.
Overall, we appreciated the staff attempting to help by moving us rooms, but the property itself feels very worn down and could really benefit from some serious updates and maintenance."
