“The room was nice and the amenities fine, but it wasn't exactly the warmest of welcomes when we checked in -- and then we didn't get to properly check out because the whole hotel was locked up, and the owners had departed, so we had to unlock the outside door to get in and drop the key in a key box! ”

“Very disappointing. I paid £98 for a very basic twin room for 1 night. Only 1 bed was made up and room was clean but very dated, and the property and grounds have seen better days and are overall quite scruffy. No TV in room but was told I could watch TV downstairs if I wanted to. The shower didn't work properly - either scalding hot or dribbled out cold water. Sink took ages to drain, noisy radiator. “Yes good selection from Bar however some staff need to smile a bit often i feel they are there on sufference. My room was excellent however cold due to heaters on timers. Windows where absolutely filthy. On a positive note, front facing reception staff where excellent particularly Charlotte ”

“This was a lovely place to stay which we chose partly because it has some EV charging facilities. The restaurant and bar have a good selection with well kept beer and the staff are helpful and friendly. We especially recommend the panna cotta, however, all the food was good. The bedroom and bathroom were a good size and well appointed with tea, coffee and water. We would visit again ”
