Although a bit remote on a quiet part of the island, it is very secure and they offer all sorts of excursions by boat and bus. “The place itself is fairly nice. Fairly inconvenient having to check-in elsewhere and get to and from the front desk, but not a big deal. My issue is the property has tons of cameras and I do believe my wallet was taken from the desk in my room while I was sleeping. My fault for incorrectly locking the door when I got in to the room for the night. “This was our 5th time at the Grand Roatan and 1st with it being the Kimpton and by far the best experience! Love the new food & beverage areas and room service was awesome! We will be back for sure!”

“I stayed in a beach front room that made access to the sand and sea very easy. The staff kept small totes of fresh water near you door so you could rinse the sand off before entering and tracking it into you villa. The pools were clean and beautiful giving you a nice place to cool off with plenty of covered places to rest in the shade.
