“Lovely hotel - room was modern in an old country hall - breakfast was lovely quality although smashed avocado could have done with some fresh lime juice and Coriander - it felt like chunky avocado paste spread on toasted sourdough. “I am a regular guest of the Holiday Inn, Abbots Lane, Colchester and have always found the hotel both inviting and comfortable. The staff are excellent and always friendly and helpful. I’ve dined in the restaurant on many occasions and the meals have all been excellent with a wide variety of menu choices. I would highly recommend a stay here! ”

“We loved it here, had a a good couple of nights with friends. Beautiful apartment, amazing mattresses and pillows, very quiet environment. The pool wasn’t open and some work was happening but you can tell it’s going to look amazing once they put it all together and summer prep work is expected at this time of year. Kara was fab and we met a super helpful housekeeper who is doing a degree who was a literal walking tourist information centre. Great atmosphere all round .”
