"Air conditioning was fine"

"Nice and easy to find, greeted by friendly helpful staff, our room was ok just needs painting lots of marks around the walls, bathroom was clean. Downstairs around the bar was nice, served a good pint of Guinness. We booked a treatment in the spa section of the hotel along with afternoon tea, very good price for what you get, wouldnt say its a spa you would be pleased to take a bunch of you to relax, hottub was ok, sauna and steam room are past their best, the one bonus is, if your brave you can take advantage of a swim in the famous matlock lido, that was an amazing experience , bloody cold but glad we had a go. I would probably stay there again as its in a great location as a base if you want to visit the peaks."

"Room was clean and a good size for 1 person. Good choice for breakfast and liked that there was a separate toaster for Gluten Free if needed. Didn't use any of the other facilities as only there overnight "

"Hotel was lovely and the beds were comfortable. Really pleasant staff and would recommend the hotel. However wasn’t a fan of 5 WhatsApp messages plus Expedia messages from them think it was a bit too much. Apart from that everything else was great "

"The hotel was what was expected for the cost, staff we dealt with were excellent, facilities basic but adequate, there is parking i wouldn't say enough for the whole hotel i basically got the last spot and arrived around 16:00. there are local car parks to the hotel so shouldn't be a problem location is great for accessing the city centre we didn't have breakfast and was very surprised that a hotel bar for residents closes at 11pm. The shower had a slight drip on it but with the door shut you couldn't hear it in the night, there was literally 10 sheets left on the toilet roll so had to use sparingly we should have mentioned it to reception but forgot when we were down there. Apart from the little niggles i would recommend it Our biggest problem wasn't a hotel fault it was a guest fault, the room next to ours 429 i think had a massive row for about an hour and half around 03:30 banging shouting, at one point something hit our wall and our bed shook, I'd be very surprised if there's no damage in there. I slept through most of it but my partner never got a wink of sleep through it even with ear plugs in she could every word said as it wasn't the hotels fault we didn't mention it at reception although that was because we had express check out and didn't have to speak to reception. "

"Room was fine, housekeeping didn’t always refresh the teabags which was frustrating and the room service food was overdone and lukewarm by the time it was delivered, which was disappointing. Staff were mainly friendly and helpful although bar staff were abrupt and on one occasion rude."

"Modern contemporary hotel. Nice rooms with everything you need. Just a few minutes from train station. "
