โLovely room top floor in the attic. A lot bigger than I expected, comfortable huge bed. Unfortunately unable to stay for breakfast because of local 10k race road closures โ
โPerfect location for the Helix park in Falkirk. The stunning Kelpies within walking distance and a short drive to the Falkirk Wheel. The hotel is located on a business park and the nearest restaurant (which was excellent) is Cooks bar and restaurant about 20 minutes walk or a few minutes drive. The hotel is clean and modern, reception staff friendly and helpful. The only downside, the double bed is on the small side. โ
โFriars Wynd hotel was an incredibly unique boutique hotel on my 3 week UK road trip. Within this area parking is very limited, but there was a car park within 100 feet of my door. There is free parking after 5 PM I think? Until about 8am? Which was completely acceptable. The room was absolutely adorable and I had a wonderful soak in their very large clean tub after driving several hours. Check in was very simple with Harry in the pub, which is connected to the hotel. โWir hatten das als Basis fรผr mehrere Tage in der Umgebung. Viel zu sehen und mit Auto unglaublich praktisch gelegen. Normal fรผr England sind die hellhรถrigen Fenster, aber fรผr uns ging es ohne Probleme. Wir hatten das Zimmer im Haupthaus, sehr gross, top Badezimmer und Bett. Frรผhstรผck ok, fรผr den Preis kann man nicht meckern. โ
โWe picked this hotel because of its proximity to the airport, and we weren't disappointed. We could easily walk out of the terminal, through a parking garage, and directly to a path that took us to the hotel. They also have a restaurant right near the lobby check-in counter and serve food until fairly late in the evening. Coming from the airport and then going back again in the morning for another flight was really easy. โ
