"Very stressful to turn up, having booked months in advance to tell me my booking on the hotels.com app had been lost (‘failed to integrate’ apparently)! Not the calm check-in experience I hoped for pre-marathon day. Once a room was found for me, after a prolonged delay, the actual stay was very pleasant & the location perfect."

"Good internet, center location and great breakfast. Didn't like they charge for early check in even if its less than 2 hours before stated time. "

"Kept awake by maintenance hammering in the room above us to 11pm then woken up again to the sound of hammering and power tools at 8am in the morning. Room was not soundproof as we could hear people arguing in the room beside us. Hallway carpets covered in stains."

"I struggled to rate this hotel fairly. It is a nice hotel. The rooms are clean. The location is perfect. It is surrounded by restaurants, shopping, and about a 20-minute walk to most theaters. The reason I won’t stay here again is that the walls are paper thin. I could hear every conversation in the room next to us, and it seemed as if they were speaking in a “regular” volume. We could hear every room in our vicinity’s doors closing in the hallway. Also no air conditioning so you will most likely need to sleep with your window open. One night, there was a car alarm that went off for a long time. The hotel does leave ear plugs next to the bed, so I am sure they are aware of this issue."

"Location of the hotel was great with Paddington only a couple of minutes walk away and shops/pubs/restaurants very close by. The room itself was small but clean, shower was a decent size as they put the sink in the bedroom rather than tried to squeeze it in to the bathroom. Bed was a little on the small side for two people but was relatively comfortable. No tea/coffee in rooms but there was facilities provided in the public area so was still available. Some reviews complained about the trains and you do hear/feel the rumbles until about midnight but it’s really not that bad and don’t disturb. The hotel could do with making the doors close slower as there’s a lot of banging doors as they close quite heavy if you don’t hold them as they close. Other thing is the staff need to chill a little on demanding the key back when you leave the hotel as every time my partner left to go outside to smoke he was asked, even though I was still in the room and it’s obvious he was just going for a smoke. They informed us to leave the key at reception when we checked in which is fine so don’t need the constant harassment about it every time one person just pops outside for 5 mins"
