Ikoma, Nara Prefecture hotel rooms at the Hotel Monterey Group

Escaping from daily busy life. From the beginning the hospitality was warming and excellent. The front desk lady super duper nice, showed us the facility, amenities and genuinely happy to have us the onsen/ryokan experience. The bath house was nice and clean. The room with the view of the city was just spectacular a delicious traditional Japanese breakfast. i highly recommended this to get away from the hustle and bustle of OSAKA.

The staff were beyond friendly and hospitable! My friend staying with me was having medical issues and we were immediately offered help/accommodations in any way possible. The bath has a fantastic view over Nara, the property is nestled amongst some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen, our room was very cozy, and the breakfast in the morning left us full and satisfied. One of the best hotels if stayed in Japan and anywhere. Staff is great and rooms are spacious and clean. There are also several commodities for you to enjoy. Will definitely stay again. Convenient too as it as across Nara Station. Easily accesible to many areas.

Location was practical for traveling needs, and the hotel was very clean with many amenities.

This is a stylish hotel, clean and convenient, with good food. My room had no desk, so it is not convenient for business.

In short it was perfect. Station right next door with none of the noise or heavy foot traffic and walking distance to many choices. And of course. Family mart next door was amazing. Great hotel! would definitely stay again.

I had a GREAT stay at this hotel! It was perfect for me traveling alone and not needing all the bells and whistles of a more expensive place. It's very modern, easy to find, close to the metro and convenience stores/restaurants. The room is small, but fine for one person who isn't spending much time in the hotel anyways. Location, The Design is truly lovely! Every amenity is perfection. We are architects and the collection of books in the Library/ Lobby was exceptional. If you value attention to detail as we do this will be the place for you!

We had a little bit of a hard time finding the entrance to the property because it’s was on the side of the building in the alleyway but it was flanked by a Lawsons AND a Sugi Pharamcy (both of which we visited several times during our 4 day stay. Train station was 5minutes walk from the hotel. Though the room was on the smaller side, it was very fancy and had all the amenities and was well kept. The staff was very nice and helpful as well. They called us a taxi when we needed to get our luggage to the airport and walk us down and waited in the cold with us for the taxi to arrive. Great service!

Very close to train station...2 minute walk. There is a very convenient 7-11 store and McDonald's within the same 2 min walk.
