"Rooms were very nice, staff was helpful, food was excellent. Private onsens were great. Hotel is set in a very nice location with great views from the room. We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it."

"We have stayed in a few Hoshino Resorts KAI hotels. KAI Saga is supposed to be the flagship KAI hotel with the most historical hot spring source but the room facilities are not at very good conditions. Suggest to improve the room facilities with more conveinient power sockets or add USB sockets at bed headboards."

"Amazing onsen facilities. They have both private and public bath. Guests can reserve one private bath per night and use public bath unlimited. Their lady public bath has an indoor one and a semi-open one - do try the semi-open one! Lots of fresh air and you can hear the sounds of insects and river. Both breakfast and dinner were wonderful. And make sure to attend the performance at the lobby at night (8:45 pm during our stay). The traditional artist sang a few local traditional folk songs with shamisen. Very peaceful and pleasant experience"

"The place is great but i could not use the bath due to my tattoos. Also the room we stayed in was a smoking room when we paid for non-smoking. There is not a lot to do around the hotel unless you get a bus to another town. Breakfast was a very traditional Japanese breakfast."
