"Gorgeous property. There were beautiful ikebana flower arrangements in the hallway when we arrived as well as delicious smelling incense being burned in the hallway the rooms that we stayed in were absolutely gorgeous and spacious the breakfast and dinner. Kaiseki was phenomenal. We got served different food for a day one and day two so the variety was very well thought out and curated. It was probably the best meals that we had in our time in Japan. They also offer a free shuttle, which is very convenient as it is quite a steep walk up and down the hill the public baths were also beautiful and very well maintained the service from the staff was professional, and extremely thoughtful. I asked about the ceramics that were used to serve our dinner and before we checked out the front desk concierge had printed out a summary page about the kind of ceramics that the ryokan used for serving food. I absolutely loved the nest space where you could get a coffee or a tea and sit around and read books that were carefully curated for you. There were also some postcards that you could use to write to someone back home. It is an absolutely gorgeous space and I really hope to come back again soon. Major shout out to one of the Hotel staff that is from the United States. His English was perfect and he was very thoughtful and helpful for us during our stay. Our server for the kaiseki was also fantastic. She was very sweet and thoughtful and professional."
