“Lovely clean room, comfy bed, tasty breakfast and warm and welcoming hosts. What more could you want? ”

“Friendly, helpful, welcoming staff. Comfortable rooms with good ensuite facilities at a great price. Restaurant has excellent dishes at good prices and the bar serves a good range of drinks again at good prices. A Continental Breakfast is included and there is no cooked breakfast option. The only drawback is the lack of a lift and one or two floors are a bit unveven but to be expected at over 400 years old. ”

“Booked last minute, location fantastic, central with parking. Room was lovely, very comfortable bed. Owner Helen took the time to tell us about the building and all the renovations that have been done and ongoing. The public areas are beautiful, mix of old and new, really suits the place itself, all the staff were very friendly and gave us tips on where to eat out. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend a visit. We look forward to a very warm welcome in the future. 😊”

“Disappointed that the leasure center and pool were undergoing renovation and we had not been informed of this at the booking stage. We should have been informed by the hotel or Expedia. What compensation will there be for this disappoint.”

“Heating did not work in room. Strange Techy control button which could not be 'Mounted' and did not work. Nobody around to help after early evening. Breakfast very nice indeed. Staff were very apologetic next morning and gave us a free breakfast to compensate.”

“The shower did not drain, which resulted in the bathroom becoming flooded with water. The light in the seating area would not work. The pillows were very thin and so was the mattress. Overall a poor experience. ”

“We spent a lovely night at the B and B. Everything was perfect and they even left a G and T and beer in the fridge for us to enjoy and fresh milk in a jug. The beds were extremely comfortable and the water piping hot. The breakfast in the morning was lovely and our hosts could not have been more welcoming We will return again”

“What a fantastic B&B, free parking right behind if you are lucky. The accommodation was lovely, the rooms are brilliant, our room (right at the top) was boutique style with a nice big bath in the room, great views out of the windows. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities in the room and a private toilet. Nice comfortable big bed with a big heavy duvet and plenty of pillows. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. “Food was good, I had one of my favourite meals ham, eggs and chips 😋. Cooked Breakfast, toast, orange juice and cereal available. Room was clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable, I was overlooking the main road but it got really quiet around 11,pm and I slept like a log. Would recommend, good for the price.”
