“Yr Hen Farcdy is wonderful accommodation in a beautiful setting, close to Snowdonia and all the special areas of north Wales. The rooms are comfortable, attractive and private, and the hosts Mike and Sue could not be more hepful. The breakfasts are delicious with a great range of options. We loved our 6 nights there and highly recommend it as a base fir exploring the region, or a spot for just chilling out.”

“I can’t recommend Aberdunant Hall enough, they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We stayed in April 2026 for our wedding anniversary, unfortunately our son was taken ill whilst we were visiting, so we spent a lot of time at local hospitals getting him treated. By the evening we were exhausted and hungry - we had booked a table at the restaurant but our son ”

“This is a lovely hotel with great views and is also dog-friendly (which is why we originally chose it). The standout element has to be the service — Leah and the whole team are incredibly welcoming and put in next-level effort to ensure we had the best stay. If you’re not staying at the hotel but in the area, the new bar is super recommended! There are some lovely pubs but it’s definitely going to be a top spot. We’ll be back this summer for sure now. “The studio is basic but comfortable and had everything that we needed for the week that we spent there. The owner is friendly and welcoming.  The week we were there was very wet, but we still got out and about to visit the Llanfair Slate Caverns, Harlech Castle, Barmouth, etc.  We also had some lovely long walks and bike rides.”
