“I Did not have breakfast”

“Location was ideal for me as i needed to stay near family. Although there is nothing near by apart from Starbucks, Costa, KFC 10 mins away. The rooms were ok, bedding was clean Although underneath the beds was not. I found not nice things in there, like chewing gum, cigarette papers, French fries. I only used the rooms to sleep and shower. The main issue for me was the window latches were missing or very loose and i did not feel safe while sleeping. The windows are not double glazed. “Basic hotel but absolutely fine. Good value for money and great location. Be aware the Room 1 is over the kitchen and their air conditioner produces loud buzzing noise in the room until late. Staff sympathetic but unable to help. ”

“Our stay was great. The only disappointment was the shower. It wasn't very powerful and the temperature was unreliable. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The continental breakfast was very good so it wasn't necessary to order additional cooked items. ”

“ The property was advertised as offering free parking. At check-in, we were asked to provide our car registration number for the duration of our stay, which we did in good faith. However, a week later we received a parking fine for using the hotel car park. When we contacted Holiday Inn, they advised that they were unable to assist and that we would need to appeal directly to the parking company, providing proof of our stay. “Breakfast was not good. Only 2 pieces of bacon left and 1 hash brown. Also was never told they charge you an extra £20 for checking in before 3pm. Luckily the receptionist did have a room ready so gave it to me without charging. This is something to look out for.”

“Large car park at rear but it was a large pub. Friendly staff and clean room. Food was good and well priced which was shown by how busy it was in the restaurant. The only negative at all for this pub/hotel was that when clearing tables after diners had left the waitress used what cutlery was left on the table to make it up ready for the next diners. How did she know that the previous people didn't sneeze on it or handle it? Not nice in my opinion”
