“The hotel was very calm and quiet. Room was comfortable and clean. The 415 bus to York was easy to access. A good choice available for breakfast. Evening mesls st the Fat Abbott pub were fantastic. Lovely pub with great good. Cloisters Spa was really good and i enjoyed an excellent full body swedish massage. Excellent. Relaxing 2 night stay, just what I needed. ”
“I liked the Way it was decorated, in the theme of a log cabin (I really like log cabins )
AND the grounds are Really well looked after.
Because I've just started looking after some grounds about the same size. Maybe a wee bit bigger. ”

“Communications before during and after our stay was superb. Our room was spacious spotless and free from any other guest noise. The small treats in the room were a nice touch. The only slight issue was no shower gel in the bathroom so I had to use my wife’s. At least it made me smell sweet . Unfortunately due to our early start we didn’t have breakfast which did smell really nice. We are doing the York 10k event again and will stay here preferably room 14 ”
“The hotel was perfect.Friendly staff made it easy to check in and out after our stay. The food was really good and lots of it . The drinks in the bar were sensibly priced . Room was clean , tidy and ready on time . The mattress on the twin beds was a bit hard . But I suppose the hotel can’t cater for different people mattresses preferences.10 minutes walk into York which was good and when we ordered a taxi on the last night the drivers were brilliant and the fare was a good price 👍”
“The hotel was clean and conveniently located (about a 10 min walk from the railway station). It isnt super close to the city center (about 20 min), but the walk isn’t too strenous (no hills!). Would recommend.”
