"It was as expected, cheap but clean. Communication with the property manager was good (via texts). The main drawback is a shared bathroom and shower that is outside the hotel rooms. Walls are thin and noise from the streets and other rooms comes right in. But it was sufficient for our needs. "

"The room is quite small and lacks a closet, nightstands, and a table to eat at. The pillows were not very comfortable. Hot water was inconsistent; when I called to report it, I was told it might be a breaker issue and that housekeeping would be notified and would follow up with me. Although the issue was eventually resolved, no one ever updated me—I had to check for myself. The location is convenient, within walking distance of the ferry and nearby restaurants, but it can get quite noisy at night. Overall, the stay was acceptable, but I wouldn’t stay here again."

"Yes there is plenty of parking at the beach and in the parking lots in front of the hotel and my car was safe during my stay. The air conditioning was very cool and the bed was super comfortable. Paula at the restaurant was very sweet and helpful."

"Apparently “check in time is 3pm” for tradewinds means “UNTIL 3 pm”. We and another family arrived around 5:30 and were shocked to find out that, at this one hotel in all the world, the listed check in time is the last time you can check in. And there is no late check in and nothing to do about it. We lost our money and had to scramble for another place at 5:40 pm in little Esperanza. Yes, when we made the reservation we signed a thing saying no late check in allowed. But the listing in the app clearly says 3pm check in. Sending a passive message is simply not enough. This policy is so outrageously unique that it needs to be treated as such. This is especially true on Vieques, where travelers very easily might not make it by 3pm due to ferries and taxis. The real kicker is that this policy is completely unnecessary. The property has keypads on the doors! We didn’t need a physical check in at all! The other property I booked at the last minute simply texted me the code. Would have been simple to do the same. Overall I expect this happens many times. It happened twice on our day. "
