"Room we had was on the first floor and was a nice room. It was loud at time with banging of some sort likely from the entrance door to the hotel. It’s a nicely located hotel and has a nice breakfast. The breakfast is nothing over the top but is a great option to start the day and save a few bucks on your stay. Grocery store directly adjacent is very handy if you desire to grab a few things. Would certainly stay again. Beds were 3/5 for comfort."

Tides Folly Beach, Charleston's Oceanfront Hotel

"It is very old and has been updated. But could use another round of updates. This is the second year we have been and the elevators are always an issue. They are very expensive for what you get but since they are the only hotel you don’t have a choice. As soon as we checked in the smoke detector was chirping from a low battery. I called the front desk, someone came, took the smoke detector ans 5 days later we checked out without anyone replacing it. Also. Make sure you know what a Juliette balcony is. Very small. Can fit a very small chair on it if you turn is sideways."

"Had the best time at Charleston place! 11 out of 10 I couldn’t ask for anything more. The hotel is stunning and the pool upgrades are phenomenal. I can’t wait to come back when the spa is done! Thank you to the entire staff for making this a trip to remember"

"The hotel was clean and quiet. We arrived late so didnt use the pool. The staff was helpful in giving us breakfast options the next morning on checkout since they did not have breakfast available."
