“The valet parking overnight is cheaper than nearby park and pay lots. The welcome drinks were a nice added touch, plus all the drinks and snacks in the mini fridge are included which was nice. The housekeepers were friendly & the come in and clean during the day and later in the evening they come do a turndown service. Complimentary breakfast was good also. Location was great and could easily walk most everywhere we wanted to go.”

“Very unorganized”

“Our first time in Charleston and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay! In the French Quarter, walking distance to so many shops and restaurants! The staff was incredible! Darrell heard that I have an allergy to American cheeses so he personally went out and purchased imported cheese for me so I can enjoy the wine and cheese along with everyone else during their cocktail hour. Their sister hotel, The Spectator, was just as wonderful! I would give 10 stars if I could!”

“Loved staying here! The property, inside and out, was beautiful. The staff were wonderful and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The view of the park and the river across the street was lovely. All the positives make up for the location being a bit further from restaurants and bars, although within walking distance depending on your abilities. We’d stay here again!”

“Hotel cared more about the people on their patio than people who are staying with them. I could quite literally hear everything that was happening as there were 15+ diners 10 inches from our hotel room window. Blasting music until midnight. People above us seem to enjoy dragging their chair back-and-forth till about 1 AM. TV did not work. No record player in the room. Charleston has a fun city, but do not stay here.”

“Worth the price. Champagne with the room which had its own fireplace. Nicest thing was we didn’t make it to the continental breakfast but someone still put a little box together of food and left it by our door. Crazy thoughtful. Great location too.”
