"House was dirty to include a bag in the sink with fruit flies under as soon as I moved it. Some black things in the bathtub. Mini oven was just dirty. Multiple other things but could have been better. I would highly recommend to get another fan because it was really hot. Last thing is finding it. It was dark out so I know it made it way harder but the map on the app and address and direction pamphlet all said different things. Took me an hour to find the place. I almost booked another hotel. "Was wonderfully surprised from my recent stay at Mars Garden Wood Gotemba. It surpassed my expectations! I had booked it for its large room size and close proximity to Gotemba Premium Outlets. However, I was surprised by how nice the property was! I think it was recently facelifted which gave the place a clean and contemporary feel while retaining some traditional Japanese charm. We could see Mt Fuji from our room and the hotel has a dedicated viewing area on level 12. The grounds of the hotel were spectacular with a large pond and garden which felt so peaceful to take a stroll. Breakfast every morning was lavish and dinner at the teppanyaki restaurant was special with a night time fountain spectacle right beside. Thanks Mars Garden Wood for the wonderful stay!"
