“Lovely staff but unfortunately the room is not fit for purpose, food is decent Was showed room 8 but window broken (35 degree heat) & was given option for room9 a twin. *hole in floor trip hazard *curtain didnt open/close properly *no side lqmp* *Sheets scratchy *broken floor tiles en suite *shower rusty Was given a fan v grateful for but filthy & throwing off bits, cleaned it but not acceptable”

“Lovely touch to have beach towels in foyer for dogs & sandy toes. Good variety of food for breakfast, different teas, dog treats & different cereal in hall. Such a comfortable bed & spacious bathroom. Staff very accomdating. Highly recommend a stay there”

“Couldn’t shower due to the very low roof in the bathroom, and I hit my head on it. When I booked I was led to believe that a full breakfast was included in our tariff, and we were asked to pay if we wanted it. No fan in our stuffy room either”

“The room did the job - but numerous issues. Missing some basic necessities like a bedside light. Had to use the public wifi from the bar downstairs which was choppy at best. The problems started right from the beginning. Check in according to the website was 10:00pm. But at 8:30pm I had a message saying I wouldn't be able to check in after 9 as the bar shuts at that point. “This was our first time staying at a hotel that wasn't staffed. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The accommodations were very modern. Plenty of hot water. Easy access to both train and bus stations. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and grocery stores. Quiet. We didn't hear street noise. Stairs are steep, as others have noted.
