"The hotel is being refurbished so it is showing its age, and the pool is crowded, but then it is Waikiki so is to be expected. "

"I just had a lovely 6 night stay on the 18th fl of the Ainahau tower. Be careful booking as there is also the Kauilani tower that is not renovated, which had nice rooms but the bathrooms were very dated with tile, stainless steel niches and sinks without countertop space (think hospital bathrooms). I accidentally booked our 2nd room in that tower and managed to get it changed to the Ainahau tower. Even in the renovated tower, one of the beds seemed past its prime and was overly soft. The rest of the hotel was nice though in need of minor updating (lighting, flooring). Pool area was nice/simple. Pool itself was small with only a small shallow portion with that progressively got deeper up to 8 feet. No floatation is allowed in the pool despite it being so deep. The location is super central in Waikiki walking distance to most everything! I would definitely stay here again without hesitation. "

"The view from our room was great! However the property is overall in need of a remodel. The beds were uncomfortable. Bathrooms had stained and peeling paint and the balcony doors were hard to operate. "

"Our stay at the Twin Fin was good. The building & rooms are dated but the pool & lounging area are great. You can order snacks and drinks right from your lounge chair. The Tiki restaurant has great food & service but recommend reservations or going before sunset as it fills up quickly. The location is close to the zoo & diamond head is very close. I would recommend staying this side of Waikiki as it’s a little quieter but still on the busy street. Noise from below can be heard all hours as the patio doors are very old and the sound carries. The morning breakfast on the 21st floor is fantastic to watch the city & Oceanside come to life. The staff are very friendly & accomodating. Ian the waiter and his fellow female staff member were very helpful & cheery first thing in the morning. Overall, a good stay but not a repeat for our family."

"Pros - Staff - Location - Rooms Cons: - Elevators leak heavily during rain - Couldn't Utilize amenities or anything from resort fee due to Kona storm - Charged $83 for less than 24 hours of parking although site say it should be $45/day"
