โShanty Creek was a great place to stay. The room was spacious, clean, and private. The restaurant on site had fun specials after 5 pm and there was a shuttle that took you to the bar in town. Pool area seemed well kept, and so did the grounds in general. I'd totally stay here again. โ
โWe have a dually truck that would probably not fit through the gate, so good thing we left it home. Also phone chargers on the night stands would be nice. Other than that I think our stay was great, although it would have been nice to have been accommodated the early check in at 2:pm as discussed. We came up for an event and had to wait until 4:pm to check in.โ
โMy wife and I had a fantastic stay at the Park Street Inn! The inn is beautifully maintained, cozy, and full of charm. The rooms are spotless and comfortable, and breakfast was absolutely delicious. The owners are incredibly welcoming and helpful making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. They even went out of their way to ship home some important items we accidentally left behind. Canโt wait to come backโhighly recommend!โ
โBeautiful historic home on a gorgeous lot with firepit, flowers, blackberries, a firepit, a porch swing, and creek winding through. The common areas are well appointed and kitchen well stocked. I would have been more comfortable if there had been a host or innkeeper on site being 2 females travelling alone but the other guests seemed respectful and we had a beautiful time enjoying the house and yard. โ
โUnfortunately, we ran into a situation with a sick child and had to make a last-minute change of plans. We were well aware that this was inside of the typical timeframe where adjustments to our stay could be made, but the experience we had made us feel undervalued and ignored. There was a complete failure by the host to respond to any form of communication, including multiple phone calls/messages, texts and emails. โMy family stayed for two nights and everything was wonderful. Communication was excellent and the check-in instructions were thorough and easy to understand. The place was very clean and the bathroom was very nice. Good water pressure which seems like a small thing, but I have terrible water pressure at home so a really good shower while on vacation is a bonus! The beds were very comfortable, and despite the fact that I have sleep issues and usually wake up often, I slept surprisingly well....
โA very clean, well equipped and comfortable condo. We were in the area for a wedding and enjoyed our stay. The private balcony overlooking the lake was a nice amenity as was the hot tub which was clean and well maintained. Easy walk to a nice hiking trail, shop for necessities and bar/restaurant. A family with small kids was staying below and they appreciated the short walk to a park with a playground as well โ
โLovely decorated motel. Room was well kept. Very close to Lake Michigan and Torch Lake. Staff was very warm and welcoming. Keep in mind there is no breakfast offered; there is coffee and snacks, although there is a cafe right across the street.
