"We loved our log cabin, it was very spacious, the only thing that let it down was the bedspread smelled horrible so I suspect it hadn’t been washed in a long time. I ended up taking the duvet off the spare bunk bed because I thought I was going to gag. The kitchen facilities and bathrooms are great. The hot pools are awesome and the main reason I stay here. I note that the tv wasn’t working in the tv room and there was a note telling people to use the tv in the games room instead, but when my daughter went there at 8.05pm it was locked, so that was disappointing. "

"Hotel is close to town and pleasant. We had to rebook a room after staying 2 nights due to weather disrupting our travel home. Our initial booking was through another site and we were a bit disappointed in our king suite we had booked. It was ground floor, noisy and the room had a strange chemical smell. It was not your typical sulfur smell. The only good thing was the super comfy bed. When we booked an extra night through Expedia, we were able to choose a king suite on a higher floor which was great. No smells and quiet. If you book here definitely opt for a room in the upper floors. Made all the difference"

"One of the most modern looking hotels in Rotorua. Staff was excellent! Super sweet and attentive. Free parking if you’re driving down. Centrally located near by tours and activities. Always check directly with hotel for possible cheaper prices. Overall great stay! "

"I normally try to be fair in highlighting the good as well as the bad. However, the bad this time just distracted from any good. When we arrived, around 4.15pm, we were tired after a long drive. So from the start we were not happy when told our room was not ready. Next day we went out leaving, make up our room sign. We were gone for 5.5hrs, arrived back about 3pm, room was not made up. Tried to ring the service desk, no answer. Then on the evening of the night I checked out, there was a credit card charge from the Novotel. After spending many efforts to ring Novotel, I finally got through. They said the charge was for breakfast we had that morning. We did not have breakfast at the hotel any morning. They said they would check the signed docket and get back to me the next day. This did not happen. Our very first experience at the Nootel Rotorua and very last experience was not pleasant. "
