I would like to first state that this resort was very beautiful. There is no doubt about that. The food, including the restaurants, all had the same food and was very average. There was always food available, however, it was often french fries and hot dogs. The pool bar closes relatively early when the sun is still out which can be frustrating. The activities are repetitive daily. I was in a constant state of anxiety after the first day. We attended a resort event in which my husband had one drink and was immediately intoxicated. As if this weren't frightening enough, he was arrested for "fitting the description" of a man that was guilty of vandalizing private property. Mind you, we had never even left the resort. He was placed in jail leaving me solo in Mexico. I received minimal (if any) support from the front desk and other staff and was forced to take a taxi ride in a foreign country to bail my husband out of the jail. It was an extremely suspicious situation and placed fear in me throughout the entire experience. We were too scared to leave our room the next day and never felt comfortable leaving the resort again. I understand this could just be a misunderstanding and is not the resort's fault, however, I do think after spending this type of money on a resort, you expect at least a moderate amount of assistance and support. I hope this does not happen to anyone else.
